Community Information Services

Information Oakville collects, maintains and shares human service information that enables people to make informed choices to improve the quality of their lives.

In addition to in-person service, we bring people and services together through our telephone hotline, online services, databases and publications.

Collecting human services information from access to the basic necessities of life to the enhancement of personal and social growth, Information Oakville is focused on those services provided by community, social service, health, government or commercial organizations in Oakville and the Halton Region.

What We Do

  • Information Oakville helps people. We collect, maintain, provide access to, and disseminate information on community and government services available to residents in the Town of Oakville.
  • Individualized information is free, confidential and equally available to everyone.
  • We work with other Community Information Centres in a collaborative and supportive network which respects autonomy, facilitates cooperation, and reduces duplication of effort.
  • We examine, study and identify trends and demand for services and unmet community needs and share our results with appropriate government departments, community agencies and social planning bodies.
